Clover Time Bosses
Seven bosses have published data, and the developer's own HP figures line them up into a clean difficulty ladder — from Salik at 2,250 HP to Magna Swing at 9,750. Each one is gated behind a quest level, sits in a named location, and carries a full drop table with published rates and quantities. 32 individual drops are documented across the seven.
The boss ladder
| Boss | HP | Quest | Location | Relative HP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Salik | 2,250 | Lv 20 · Cole | Ruins | |
| Earth Bandit Boss | 3,750 | Lv 25 · Roadkeeper | Hage Forest | |
| Mana Wolf | 3,750 | Lv 35 · Kael | Hage Forest | |
| Zora | 4,500 | Lv 50 · Mara | Rayaka Village | |
| Fire Mage Boss | 4,500 | Lv 55 · Ilsa | Rayaka Village | |
| Heart Grice | 7,500 | Lv 75 · Ilva | Sosshi Village | |
| Magna Swing | 9,750 | Lv 80 · Yarn | Sosshi Bridge |
Quest NPCs are read from the mission card each boss is gated behind. The ladder is ordered by HP, and the quest levels rise with it — but not evenly, which is the interesting part below.
Reading the ladder
The HP curve is not smooth, and the jumps are the useful part. Salik at 2,250 is a first real test. Earth Bandit Boss and Mana Wolf both sit at 3,750 — the same health, ten quest levels apart, so Mana Wolf is the harder fight for the same bar. Zora and Fire Mage Boss share 4,500 HP as well.
Then the ceiling doubles. Heart Grice lands at 7,500 HP behind a level 75 quest, and Magna Swing closes the ladder at 9,750 HP — more than four times Salik, and gated behind the level 80 quest at the top of the quest chain.
Drops, boss by boss
Every boss card on the developer board carries a complete drop table — the item, the published chance, and where the board gives one, a quantity range. That is 32 drops across the seven released bosses, and it is the part most boss guides leave out. Rates are sorted highest first.

What the drop tables tell you
Reading the seven tables side by side surfaces three patterns that are not obvious from any single boss page:
- The chest ladder shifts at the top. Five of the seven bosses drop a Normal Chest at exactly 9.5%. Heart Grice and Magna Swing are the exceptions — neither drops a Normal Chest at all, and both start at a Medium Chest (3.45%). If you are farming chests rather than boss cosmetics, the last two rungs of the ladder are where the value concentrates.
- Chest rates are identical across bosses; cosmetic rates are not. The Normal Chest figure is 9.5% on every boss that has one, and the Medium Chest figure is 3.45% on every boss that has one — those look like fixed global rates. Cosmetic drop rates are per-boss and range from a 5% Magna Outfit to a 35% Ice Shard.
- Only one boss feeds the roll economy. The boss-tier Mana Wolf is the sole published boss that drops Crystal Mana Frags directly, at 5% (1–2 at a time), plus Wolf Fang at 35% and Mana Wolf Fang at 30%. Fragments are what become the Crystal Mana that pays for Grimoire Tower rolls. One caveat worth knowing before you farm it: the board also lists a world Mana Wolf with 2,500 HP that drops the same fragments at 30% — six times the rate on an easier fight. The mana crystals page compares them.
Bosses that drop a chest
| Chest | Rate | Dropped by |
|---|---|---|
| Normal Chest | 9.5% | Salik, Earth Bandit Boss, Mana Wolf, Zora, Fire Mage Boss |
| Medium Chest | 3.45% | Mana Wolf, Zora, Fire Mage Boss, Heart Grice, Magna Swing |
| Big Chest | 0.75% | Fire Mage Boss, Heart Grice |
Where a drop has no published name — Zora carries a 15% drop at 1–2 quantity whose card is a bare link with no item title — it is listed as unnamed rather than guessed at. The board also marks a few items as work in progress, and those are shown under the name the board gives them.
Bosses that are not out yet
Four entries on the developer board have no data attached and are best treated as upcoming rather than hidden:
- Javali Grande — no HP, quest, location or drop data published
- Master of the Corrupt — no HP, quest, location or drop data published
- Sekke Bronzazzza — no HP, quest, location or drop data published
- Salim Hapshass — no HP, quest, location or drop data published
They are worth knowing about because they signal where the game is heading. Update 1.0, the Shadow Royal Update, lands on 10 October 2026 and the Halloween event on 24 October — either could bring one of these live.
Frequently asked questions
How many bosses are in Clover Time?
Eleven boss entries exist on the developer board. Seven have published data — HP, a gating quest, a location and a full drop table — and four are placeholders with no information yet: Javali Grande, Master of the Corrupt, Sekke Bronzazzza and Salim Hapshass.
What is the strongest boss in Clover Time?
Magna Swing, published at 9,750 HP and gated behind a level 80 quest at Sosshi Bridge. Heart Grice is next at 7,500 HP behind a level 75 quest, and it is the first boss that stops dropping a Normal Chest.
What level do I need for the first boss?
Salik is the earliest, at 2,250 HP and a level 20 quest from Cole in the Ruins. The Earth Bandit Boss follows at 3,750 HP behind Roadkeeper at level 25, in Hage Forest.
Which bosses need a squad?
The early ones do not. Mana Wolf and the Earth Bandit Boss are soloable gates, while community sources point at Magna Swing and Heart Grice as the fights worth organising a Magic Squad for.
Which boss should I farm for Crystal Mana?
None of them, ideally. The boss-tier Mana Wolf drops Crystal Mana Frags at 5%, but the board also lists a world Mana Wolf with 2,500 HP that drops the same fragments at 30% — six times the rate on a smaller health bar, so the world mob is the better farm. If you specifically want finished crystals rather than fragments, Big Chests drop 1-7 of them at 6.7%, and those come from Fire Mage Boss, Heart Grice and Magna Swing.
Do all Clover Time bosses drop chests?
Most do. Five of the seven drop a Normal Chest at exactly 9.5%. Heart Grice and Magna Swing skip the Normal tier and start at a Medium Chest (3.45%).
